These are permanent commitments, not current policy. Our moat is community trust — and these firewalls are how we protect it.

No paid placement. Rankings are organic, always. You cannot buy visibility or boosted ranking.

No purchased badges. A business cannot pay to be declared Black-Owned. Verification is documentary and separate from any subscription tier.

No review suppression. We will never remove honest negative reviews in exchange for payment.

No selling to refused buyers. Insurance, ad-tech, data brokers, and DEI-marketing buyers are permanently disqualified.

Why This Matters

The Green Book worked because it was trusted.

The original Green Book protected travelers because the community knew it was theirs — not a tool built to extract from them. Mapitio carries that responsibility. The moment community data becomes a product sold to the wrong hands, the platform loses the only thing that makes it valuable.

That's why these commitments live in our charter as a Public Benefit Corporation, not just in a policy document that can be quietly revised. Trust is the product. We will not sell it.

About Mapitio

The modern
Green Book.

From 1936 to 1967, the Negro Motorist Green Book guided Black travelers to businesses that would serve them with dignity in a hostile world. Mapitio carries that torch into every space our community navigates today — healthcare, finance, housing, beauty, law, and beyond.

Why We Exist

Knowing before you go is still a matter of wellbeing.

The Green Book ended when the law changed. But the lived experience of walking into a doctor's office, a bank, or a salon and being dismissed, profiled, or talked over never did. Mapitio exists to surface that ground-truth experience — honest reviews from us, for us — so the next person walks in informed.

Anyone can read and search Mapitio. Anyone can contribute. But the platform centers the Black community experience as the primary trust signal, because that's the experience no other review platform has ever been built to protect.

How We're Built

Structured so the mission can't be sold off later.

Mapitio is incorporating as a Public Benefit Corporation with a companion charitable foundation. The structure is deliberate: it legally binds the company to its community purpose and commits a rising share of profit to community work as the platform grows.

Entity 1 — Operating Company

Mapitio, Inc.

A Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. Its public benefit purpose: to provide trusted information infrastructure that serves the economic and psychological wellbeing of the Black community. Files an annual benefit report; pursuing B-Corp certification as revenue establishes.

Entity 2 — Charitable Arm

Altoii Wellness Collective Foundation

A 501(c)(3) public charity bridging financial planning and psychological wellbeing for underserved communities through programming, research, scholarships, and grants. Separate board, separate governance.

Profit Commitment

An escalating share of profit goes back to the community.

Mapitio's charter commits to donating a rising percentage of net profit to the foundation as the business matures — more aggressive than virtually any for-profit company, and sustainable at every stage.
